4 WEEK INTENSIVE COURSE
In this course, you will study the New Zealand School
of Food and Wine Certificate in Wine. This introductory wine
course includes detailed study of New Zealand wines and
wine regions.you will become familiar with the
latest releases of local wines, as well as the history and current
focus of
New Zealand’s dynamic wine industry. A day trip to visit
local Waipara wineries is included in the programme.
Participants then progress to the Intermediate Certificate in Wine and Spirits from the
London based Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET). This certificate looks at wines from
around the world as well as spirits and fortified wines like Port and Sherry.
Our programme is perfect for beginners and people who are passionate about wine as well
as those working in the industry who wish to gain more knowledge and a well-respected
international qualification.
Our experienced tutors are industry professionals who have worked in restaurants and hotels
and hold the WSET qualifications. The course is taught in an approachable manner to ensure
that participants learn lots but also have fun!

Advanced Professional Wine Studies
2 WEEK INTENSIVE COURSE
In this course participants will study the Advanced Certificate
in Wine and Spirits from the London based Wine and Spirit
Education Trust (WSET). This certificate looks in detail at the
wine regions of the world – from Chile to Alsace; from Burgundy to Central Otago; from Champagne to Yarra Valley. During the
tutored tastings participants will learn to compare the Old World
wine styles with those produced in the New World. Participants
also study the wine making process for still wines, sparkling wines and fortifi ed wines as well as distillation. A master class with a well-known local wine-maker is included in the schedule.
This programme follows the Professional Wine Studies 4 week intensive. It enables you to
further extend your knowledge and to gain a well-respected international qualifi cation.
