Delicious breakfast food will give you a great start to the day! In this class we will make mega breakfast muffins with cornflakes, banana and chocolate, a breakfast tortilla with egg and bacon and fruit kebabs with passionfruit yoghurt sauce.

Learn the ins and outs of hosting a dinner party from table setting to creating a three-course menu. In this menu we will make mini corn fritters with sweet chilli cream, parmesan crusted chicken with homemade bbq sauce, individual potato stacks, tangy apple slaw and our finale will be chocolate pots with praline whipped cream.
Indian Curries

In this class we will master the art of making great curries and accompaniments. Recipes featured will include chicken korma, lamb kofta's with raita, turmeric rice and Indian flat breads.
Essential Desserts with Philippe Meyer
4 Monday evenings Monday 24 August – Monday 14 September 6-9.00 pm $300
A great complement to our "Essentials of Cooking Fine Food at Home', this course introduces you to the foundations of creating delicious desserts. The four sessions will cover pastry making and classic puddings, mousses and ice creams, chocolate, fruit desserts and petit fours. A certificate of completion will be provided at the end of this course.
International Cheese Master to show us the whey!
Neil Willman, now the Master Judge of the New Zealand Cheese Awards will be sharing his cheese knowledge and passion in a series of workshops with us.
Cheese Discovery

An evening of tutoring and tantalising your tastebuds. During Cheese Discovery Willman, will be sharing some fascinating and little known facts about cheese. He will debunk common misconceptions such as cheese and lactose (he says most cheese contains none) and even surprise you with some great health stories and myths about cheese. He will explain how to select and prepare a cheeseboard for social occasions, tips for storing cheeses, how to choose a good one, know when cheese is at its best and what to match with it.

Everyday Gluten Free with Victoria Biddick and Tory Crowder

If you are serious about eliminating gluten from your diet this class is a must for you. In this session Victoria will partner with dietitian Tory Crowder to cover the ins and outs of a gluten free diet from diagnosis of gluten intolerance to where to buy supplies and recipe adaptation.

Explore the world of medicinal plants with Valmai, naturopath and owner of Phytofarm a medicinal herb farm located in Little River .In this demonstration Valmai will educate you on the health giving benefits of plants and create dishes that will inspire you to take a new look at edible weeds, flowers and culinary herbs and spices. Dishes prepared by Valmai will include a garden herb and almond hors'doeuvre, warming winter greens with tarragon infused dressing and an elderberry parfait.
Glamorous Gluten Free for Entertaining with Victoria Biddick and Tory Crowder Tuesday 25 August 6.30-9.30 pm $80
Learn how to prepare a special four-course gluten free menu, which will be enjoyed by everyone. We will begin with a crispy prosciutto frittata hors'deouvre followed by delicious spiced pumpkin soup with caramelised onion rolls. The main event will feature herb and hazelnut crusted fish on risotto cake and our finale will be a chocolate torte accompanied by poached winter fruit.
New Zealand School of Food and Wine Certificate in Wine

This comprehensive wine course focuses on the main wine varietals grown in New Zealand and the styles of wine that have built their reputations. The course looks at the European traditions that have influenced NZ winemaking, as well as the winemaking process and basics of viticulture. Students learn how to taste and evaluate wines and the principles that underscore food and wine matching.
