The world of food and wine ignites the imagination of both the home cook and the professional chef. To cook for others and create remains one of the authentic pleasures of our time.

Since 1995 our culinary school has offered cooking classes for the enthusiast as well as professional training for chefs, restaurant managers and sommeliers.

Our certificates in food and wine are approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and offer students a variety of ways to study – from part time evening classes and weekend workshops to professional cookery
programmes taking 16 weeks.

The Wine and Spirit Education Trust wine courses enable students to learn about wines from all over the world and earn a respected international qualification.

Sensational Sausages & Cured Meats with Philippe Meyer $150
Monday 27 & Tuesday 28 April (two nights), 6:30pm
 

Back by popular demand! The cooler months are a perfect time to create your own sausages and cured meats. In this practical hands-on workshop Philippe will share his passion for creating artisan-cured meats.

 
Bistrobouche with Celia Hay $65

Bistro food is flavoursome, unpretentious and delicious. In this class, Celia will demonstrate her take on the bistro cuisine of France and prepare fast and wholesome dishes all the family can enjoy.

 
Essential Desserts with Philippe Meyer $295
Monday evenings 6-9.30pm, May 4-25 May
 

A great complement to our 'Essentials of Cooking Fine Food at Home' programme, this course introduces you to the foundations of creating delicious desserts. The four sessions will cover pastry-making and classic puddings, mousses and ice-creams, chocolate, fruit desserts and petit fours. A certificate of completion will be provided at the end of this course.

Good Health From Herbs
