NZSFW specialises in designing and delivering customised programs, cooking demonstrations, New Zealand wine tastings and presentations for international visitors, educational study groups or special purpose groups visiting this unique and exciting young country.

Here are some examples of our group programs that we will further customise to meet your needs and time available.
Over the seven days we will discuss new thinking about enviro-issues, take part in practical activities such as tree planting, bird watching, gardening and cooking. You will visit an organic farm; learn how to compost your own green waste at home using the Bokashi system which in turn can be used to grow your own vegetables in gardens or apartment planter boxes. You will taste local wines, visit sustainable wineries and enjoy preparing your own feasts of local ingredients.
On the one day course you will visit Waiheke Island's Te Whau Vineyard. You will participate in tree planting and Bokashi, cook your own lunch based on local ingredients and taste the local wine.
You will learn about key white grape varieties (Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling) and key red grape varieties (Cabernot Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir) of New Zealand and their regions. The session will conclude with wine tasting from well-known New Zealand wineries that reflect the styles that are building New Zealand's reputation as a sustainable wine growing nation.
This course will focus on the main wine varietals grown in New Zealand and the styles of wine that have built their reputations. You will look at the European traditions that have influenced New Zealand winemaking as well as the winemaking process. You will learn how to taste and evaluate wines and the principles that underscore food and wine matching. A day trip to visit a local winery is also included.
