The New Zealand School of Food and Wine opened its first campus in Christchurch in 1995. Set in the heart of the inner city restaurant and cafe scene it has changed the lives of hundreds of students who have started out on their first career or simply indulged in their passion of food and wine.
Hay's Restaurant, also owned by the school is one of Christchurch's iconic and award winning restaurants is located on the ground floor of the school providing students with practical hands-on experience every day.
The Christchurch school and Hay's Restaurant is temporarily closed pending repairs from the recent earthquakes but the new Auckland city campus in downtown Auckland will commence from January 2012.
The New Zealand School of Food & Wine is a registered and accredited private training institution with the New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) and continues to receive excellent quality assurance and audit reports from the Authority.
